Abby is a lone cowgirl in a house full of boys. Not just any boys....real boy's boys. They love guns and cars, football and rugby, getting down and dirty and wrestling with each other. Even Ethan has begun to get in on the wrestling and rough play. While she handles it gracefully and even plays right along with her brothers, at times I think she secretly wishes she had a sister in the mix somewhere. She doesn't get to play dolls or house or dress up near enough. The other night, we decided that the two of us would have a girl's pampering night. She got this cute little pedicure set for her birthday and we hadn't used it yet. So, we got the pedicure set out complete with dissolving heart shaped soap flakes, a blow up foot tub, towel, file, flip-flops, toe separators, nail polish, and sticker adornments. We added a couple books and glasses of ice water to that and had ourselves an evening. After putting the two little boys down for bed and finding a nice show for Nathan to watch, we indulged. Abby called it Pampered Pedicures night!

Here are our finished toes. We both chose the French Pedicure--Abby's in princess pink and mine in shocking pink!! Better than our pretty toes was some super fun one-on-one girl time with my little angel!

count me in for the next time :) oh what fun it would be to live near family.
I do that with Tori too! Sydnee is still too young to be involved, but we do a mother daughter movie night at least once a month! We watch Pride and Predjuidce (SP), Jane Eyre, and any Doris Day movies that we haven't watched for a while. We do it up on my bed and always have a special treat! It is a very fun tradition to start.
