Sometimes it seems like I run out of things to blog about. So, I am going to include some little fillers now and then when I find that I'm not sure what else to write about. I was happy when I came across the playlist.com website so I could include music on my blog. Some of the songs have special meaning to me, as most music that touches us does. So, now and then I will include some of these special songs and why I chose them for my playlist. The first song on my list is Martina McBride's "In My Daughter's Eyes."In my daughter's eyes I am a hero
I am strong and wise and I know no fear
But the truth is plain to see
She was sent to rescue me
I see who I wanna be
In my daughter's eyes
In my daughter's eyes everyone is equal
Darkness turns to light and the world is at peace
This miracle God gave to me gives me strength when I am weak
I find reason to believe In my daughter's eyes
And when she wraps her hand around my finger
Oh it puts a smile in my heart
Everything becomes a little clearer
I realize what life is all about
It's hangin' on when your heart has had enough
It's giving more when you feel like giving up
I've seen the light
It's in my daugter's eyes
In my daughter's eyes I can see the future
A reflection of who I am and what will be
Though she'll grow and someday leave
Maybe raise a family
When I'm gone I hope you see how happy she made me
For I'll be there
In my daughter's eyes
This song so beautifully sums up how I feel about my beautiful daughter. Since she came into our lives a little over 8-years ago, my life was forever changed. Abby is truly a miracle that God sent to me and through our experiences I have learned how to hang on when I wasn't sure I could. My relationship to God and Jesus and the Holy Ghost was solidified in those days and lonely nights in the hospital when the only company I had was my precious daughter fighting for life and the sweet balm of Gilead that Christ offers us. Everytime I hear this song I am overcome with gratitude that our Heavenly Father blessed us with Abby and that he blessed us even more by allowing her to stay here with us!!
