Back To School

Well, school is officially back in session for my husband!! Yes, Justin is making the final push to finish off his bachelor degree in Criminal Justice at Weber State. I know, I know, many of you are thinking finally!! Consider that Justin got married in the middle of his second semester of college, had a baby 10 months later, she had heart surgery 5 months after that, kidney surgery 7 months after that, plastic surgery 6 months after that, not to mention weeks of hospital admissions, had to pay off thousands and thousands of dollars in medical bills (and that was our portion after insurance), bought a house, had another baby, sold a house, went to boot camp, bought another house, went to Air Force Technical Training, had another baby, sold a house, bought another house, one more plastic surgery....anyway, as you can see the road to a degree for Justin has been an uphill and often interrupted battle!! The fact that he only has about 3 semesters left is a credit to his work ethic and determination. He has always had a full time job since we got married and often times an additional part time job. When he realized that student loans would be looming over us forever if he continued to take them out to pay for college, he joined the Air Force National Guard to help cover the costs. He is my hero and the example he is setting for my children of sacrificing to gain a good education is priceless!! He is taking two classes this semester. One is online and the other one is 2 days a week at 7:30 AM. Doesn't sound like much but considering he leaves for work at 11:20 AM to catch the commuter train to work and then gets home at around midnight I find it amazing!! Then he will only have 2 full time semesters left. So, here's to my husband, the kids and I are all pulling for you (and praying for you) and we know that in 3 semesters time, you will have achieved something not only worthwhile but something you definately earned!! We all love you and are proud of all you do!!!!
